WHAT IS CoOperativeNZ ?
CoOperativeNZ is a political movement, the child of a much older, values-based, political party.*
Our monetary reform policies support using Reserve Bank funds for expensive projects. Meaning we can borrow from ourselves instead of overseas banks and speculators.
We want New Zealand to be independent! Money is power. Our overseas debt gives foreign investors power over our economy.
Monetary reform can get us moving in a good way. It gives government the tools to turn sound proposals into reality. It allows government to plan long term.
Let’s stop foreign companies mining our human resources. Mining our innovation, imagination, and talent. Mining our skills and energy. Stripping profits from our economy and exporting them.
Like our tupuna,* CoOperativeNZ is committed to principles of social equity. The wealth of the land should provide all Kiwis with excellent free health care, excellent free education, social support systems, and determined care of our environment. Law and order should be supported by excellent police, well resourced, who the peace by working helpfully among the people.
CoOperativeNZ supports respect for voters and freedom for MPs to represent those voters. CoOperativeNZ supports Parliament working collaboratively to solve nationwide problems.
CoOperativeNZ strongly supports Parliament allowing local councils to deal with local problems. Monetary reform will assist problem solving at both levels.
For Local Government and Parliament, we support CoOperation to solve the problems Kiwis want to have sorted.
